How to make the Most of Social Situations
Take advantage of every opportunity to practise your new life as a confident person. The more you practise, the better you'll become.
Conversation
Many people experience anxiety about having a conversation with women. Perhaps you feel that you just won't know what to say, or that she will think you are uninteresting. The trick is to just get the flow of conversation going. It may be a good idea to read the newspaper to keep up on current events, this will provide you with plenty of issues to talk about. Just try to avoid anything that may be too controversial until you get to know her a little better. Here are some other ideas on things to talk about:
- The latest book you read
- An interesting story from your youth
- Your hopes and dreams
- Your hobbies
- A Movie you recently watched
- Your volunteer work
- Whatever comes to mind
Holding an interesting conversation is very important for making progress with women. If you're one of many guys that has trouble thinking of what to say, then I suggest you focus on improving your conversation skills. Think of different things to say before going out, or attending social situations, visualize how you are going to be having conversations and what you'll be saying during them. Parties
A Party is the perfect opportunity to take advantage of, and exercise your new skills. Have you ever noticed that in many large parties, people typically divide themselves into groups of people that know each other. Many people spend the whole party chatting with their friends, even though they could have talked to each other on any other day! It's important to take advantage of these opportunities for what they are; a chance to meet someone new.
So the next time you are at a party, excuse yourself from your friends, and go and meet someone new. If there are some people playing a game, ask to join them. Ask the host to introduce you to some of the other people, I'm sure that the host will only be too happy to oblige. And remember, Listen and compliment!
Clubs
Women expect to get hit on at clubs. So don't disapoint them, instead give them what they expect, but just do it well. Use a pick-up line and a compliment and ask her to dance. If you have some friends that are girls, ask them to go with you so that you can get out on the dance floor and show the other girls how much fun you are having. Then go ahead and ask a new girl to join you.
If you aren't a very good dancer, don't worry about that. Most men aren't good dancers and women realize that. Women care more about if you can get out there and have a good time, so if you can show her that you can move a little and have a lot of fun doing it, then get out there. If you have any female friends or sisters, then ask them if they can help you learn a few dance moves. It may make you feel a little more comfortable.
Weddings
Weddings can be a great place to meet a new woman. In this type of situation, you can find out about a person ahead of time. Ask one of your family members if they know the woman you see sitting at another table. Just be careful to make sure that she isn't with anyone else at the wedding. There is nothing worse than causing a scene at someone's wedding. Remember that it is someone elses' special day, and you don't want to cause any trouble.
